Sorry for vanishing again.  
Real life's been badly sucky lately.  I advise you to move on now lest you read my griping.

My grandmother's health took a turn for the worst and she eventually died after being bedridden for weeks.  
The funeral was on my birthday, March 8th.
Needless to say, that means that I didn't get any happy birthdays this year, and had to give up the reservations for a big Japanese resturaunt.
My stepdad's job had to let several employees go and he was included, and I can't get my job back until September due to lack of openings.
I had quit in order to be home with grandmom.

So I had some very good reasons for being MIA.
Hopefully things will improve soon.  They certainly can't get much worse. . .

Hm, there needs to be a Sore mood.

I would like a moment of silence please, for my upper left wisdom tooth.  
It was extracted at 10:00AM this morning.

Okay that's long enough.  Now the actual tooth yanking didn't hurt at all, it was just a little surprising when I felt it pop free.
And then the dentist dropped it while trying to show it to me XD

I have it now, resting in a little yellow plastic treasure chest.
Yow that's sore though!  And the hole won't quite stop bleeding.  

I'm more annoyed than anything though, I can't eat anything very hot, very cold, spicy, or crispy for a while.  
Lucky for me that I was able to get my favorite  food, eggplant parm.  I hadn't had breakfast and I was good and waited two hours, so I was hungry.



Okay enough about the tooth.

Last night I cut out two new Jackle capes and they set overnight.  
Soon, two new Jackles will be born into the world!
And hopefully, someone will want to buy them XD
I could make mini NiGHTSes and Realas, but people want Jackle most for some reason.

I don't mind, I was the first to make a Jackle doll and it's what I'm known for in the NiGHTS into Dreams fandom.
That and my obsession with Gillwing and love of newbies...

Pictures will come soon.  The afore mentioned tooth extraction has left me sleepy, so I won't finish those dolls tonight.  I might cut out more capes.  I'm trying to see how much I can get out of a single felt piece.
I'm experimenting with a darker inner cape this time, to better hide the doll itself and add to the lack of body illusion.

In the future,  I intend to get ahold of black glitter felt, lots of people draw Jackle with a sparkly inner mantle, and I like that idea.

I know that I don't come on much anymore, but there isn't much point.  Nobody comments on anything here.

I'm getting better and demand is going up, so my prices need to go up as well, unfortunately.  
Especially with the badgering that comes with commissions.

This has gotten enough positive feedback, that I'll just see how it goes.  
My thought is to charge 6 dollars an hour plus materials.  Keep i nmind that 6 dollars is minimum wage.
The material right now is felt, so that's cheapo unless you specifically ask for something better - good fabric can get pricey.  I will use nicer materials though, but expect the price to go up if you request anythign other than felt
Expect plushies to cost anywhere from $15.00 to $40.00 depending on size and complexity
(This doesn't apply to those who have already commissioned me)

Jackle plush is fairly Complex, but I plan to make more Jackles since everyone seems to like him

I can take money orders or items off my Amazon wishlist, unless you want to risk sending straight money.  You do so at your own risk.
I will also accept IMVU credits.  My avatar is CORNSiLK
I can accept checks from US buyers, but these will take time to clear and delay the shipment.


Also, I am accepting any scrap fabrics, ribbons, buttons, old vests, barbie clothes, etc. as donations.

Thanks to everyone who voted in the Sega poll, NiGHTS won!

I'm going to be a little quiet about NiGHTS though.  
I love the game and its characters, but I love them as they are.
If they change at all in any future games, it will always be their original form that I love.

It's the same with some people.  
We all grow and change, and sometimes we grow apart.  
But no matter how people change, for better or worse, I continue to love them in honor of their original form and the good memories that they have brought to me.

Sorry for being kind of depressing, I've been thoughtful lately.
My grandmother's memory is failing, so I've been focusing on how she used to be a lot.  
And one of my prized welsummer hens is in bad shape.

Whenever things turn unpleasant, I like to try to focus on when things were good.
And continue to care despite what happens.

I know that I don't update here enough, but stuff's been going on.  
It climaxed yesterday with my grandmother suffering a dizzy spell and being taken to the hospital.  
She's okay, but we all had a bad scare there.

Then my rabbit was dead when I went to feed her, and I had my first IM conversation with someone, which quickly deteriorated into negative griping about an even that happened months ago.

So needless to say I'm not in the best state of mind, and I'm sorry if anyone misses me.

Sorry for being so quiet (Not that there are enough people to miss me XD )
Lots has been going on here.  

I've taken on a second job, working for GreenLeaf Tree Care Services as a sort of secretary/administrative manager

Okay, it's my brother's business, but the pay is good and it fits into my schedule perfectly.

I've been sewing as well, of course.  I ran out of red felt, which is the most popular color.  That led me to go to a craft store for more.  
Theor supply was limited though so I'll have to go out again.  
Still, I had fun collecting some fancy sparkly felts and glitter glue.


I also flew for the very first time.
I thought I was going to faint or cry, I nearly dd the latter during take off, but I survived.  
It was a little easier because of a special plush I made for myself.  See my gallery.


I just finished Christmas.
I finally got a REAL digital camera!
That means no more cruddy, fuzzy  pics.
Celebrate!

Sorry for my silence, anyone who watches me.  

I'm just feeling kind of used and let down.  

Apparently, I have internet B.O. or something, because the only way that anyone ever  invites me to chat off of MSN is by accident.  
Last night on IMVU, I recieved two chat invites, and accepted both.  Only to have nothing happen.  

I messaged the person inviting me to see what the trouble was.  
IMVU was going "haywire" and highlighting my name every time they wanted to invite someone else.  

Yeesh, if you don't want to talk to me, then TAKE ME OFF YOUR LIST!

It was someone who I considered a friend too, which made it all the worse.  

It would just be nice if people would either speak to me once in a while, or come clean and explain just what I'm doing to turn them off.

And don't say whining, I don't have any other way to vent and I will NOT unleash this stuff on the only friend who actually WILL speak to me.

Fennic is awesome and solved the category problem for me, so I Demand Fennic Love!


I'm working on the plush's other foot today.  
It's coming out too small, I'm hoping to fix that when I sew the claws on.
I'm also buying so glowing thread, because I'm a sucker and can't resist shinies or glowies for my dragon hoard XD

Oh, THERE'S the journal link!  
Does it really  have to be under "Manage?"  It would be so much more convenient to have it as a link on the userpage.  

I've posted another plushie picture, I'm not excited about it.  

SA.N really needs a Craft section, or at the very least a Misc section.  

Plushie art is just as artistic as pencil art, and I don't think that it's fair that my hardest work has to be hidden in the scraps section, where nobody will ever see it.  

Scraps should be for unfinished pictures and silly joke photos, not projects that an artist has put their blood sweat and tears into.


That ranting aside, I'm back after being somewhat quiet.  
I'm not really sure why I felt the need to say that.
I'm feeling kind of frustrated and disappointed right now, and I'm considering giving up on all the art sites.

At least until I find a place that accepts plushie artists as legitimate artists.

Help!

I'm going to Video Game Live!
And I need a NiGHTS into Dreams shirt, I want to promote my favorite game but I lack the art skills.  

If anyone could make a shirt design featuring the logo and either NiGHTS and the kids, or something like that, I would be in your debt!  

I can print designs on iron on paper in order to make a shirt, so I just need the art.  


If anyone helps me with this, I'll draw or sing or write lyrics about anything they like (within reason of course)

I'm wondering if I should stop the Legacy comic or not.  
It was just savagely attacked on a forum.

That does nothing for my self esteem.  So what if it's bad and mixes sprite styles from various games?
If it makes someone somewhere smile, that should be good enough.

Anyway, flamers need to drop dead please.  
And if anyone actually does want to see more, please let me know.  
Otherwise I'm just not feeling motivated after that. . .

Chicken books still need more art!  
If peopel could draw welsummer and araucana chickens, that would be great!

Oh, and I have a request.  
When commenting on someone's work, please try to give it more than one or two words, and if any of those words are "Cute" or "Nice" or an action or the name of the item or animal featured in the piece, it doesn't count.  

Try saying WHY you think it's 'cute' or 'nice' please.

Too many times, I've seen that someone had commented and excitedly hurried to see what had been said, only to have my mood dampened by "Cute! ^^"
How about. . "Cute!  I love the angle you used!"  or "Nice!  Your use of colors is great!"  
See?  It's not that hard to flesh out a comment and make it something meaningful.

People who regularly leave one word comments actually bring things to the point where I dread seeing that they've left me a comment.  
if you're not going to give suggestions on what I could do better or say just what it is that you liked about the piece, then why are you commenting?
Please consider that the next time that you comment.

I've finished the text for the Welsummer booklet.

Artists Wanted
Artists of ALL talents are wanted! That means you and your infant sibling.

I'm putting together chicken breed booklets to pass out with my eggs when I sell them.
I would like to include some original art in these booklets, and that's where you come in.

I don't care if you're Rembrant or only 3 and a half years old, when I say ANY quality art, I mean it XD

Please volunteer if you're willing to sketch for this project.
I'll send you some pictures of a specific breed or two and ask you to draw them in your own style (or lack thereof XD )

I'll even send you the finished booklet afterwards if you want, as thanks for helping.

Whoah, how'd it come to be the 8th so fast?!  
Yup, I'm another year older today.  

I'm wearing my CORNSiLK scrunchie and dark purple top to celebrate, along with my pearl and gold choker.  
And tonight I'm going out for a Japanese dinner with my family.

My beloved friends have been outstanding, with several actually wishing my a happy birthday a few hours before midnight! :wuv:
And TRiPPY called me possible one of the nicest people on the NiD forum.  That just about made my year!  

So I'm sitting here, gushing about how much I love all of my friends.  
There are far too many to name, otherwise I'd give everyone an individual thank you for everything that you've done for me thus far.  

I love and appreciate each one of you, and think about you every minute of the day, and sometimes in my dreams.

Okay, so my birthday's not until Wednesday.  
But I've already recieved my birthday gift - a Reala plushie!  
And that's all that I'm getting because those things are insanely rare and expensive.  
And I had just gotten the Claris and Elliot dolls for myself, so that about completes my plushie set.

Anyway, plushies aside.  Wednesday.  March 8th.  I get even older.  
I'm torn between being happy about a party and being another year older.  
After you turn 20, it just stops being fun.

Yeek, my shoulder just popped.  The old age is starting and I'm not even 30 yet!!

I kind of forgot to check in here for a while!

Hmph, I'm tempted to add "Make SA.N Mascot/Admin plushies" to my list of commissions.  

Commissions are full by the way, sorry if anyone wanted one.  
But you can still add yourself to my waiting list.  Just give your username and what you want, and whether or not you're okay with me using felt.  
Nicer material will take longer for me to acquire and sew since I don't want to mess up.  (Felt's cheapo so messing up on it is no biggie)  It also costs a bit more.

1. The first character I first fell in love with:
Wow, that's a toughie.  I can't say that I actually 'loved' any chars before NiGHTS came into my life.  

2. The character I never expected to love as much as I do now:
Megaman.  I never got into the series since it was advertised as a "Boy" game.  
But now I adore all the characters!

3. The character everyone else loves that I don't:
Jackle.  Bad dreams involving that guy. . . I don't hate Jackle, I'm just not overly fond of him.  

4. The character I love that everyone else hates:
Elliot!  C'mon, give the blueberry a little love!

5. The character I used to love but don't any longer:
Sonic the Hedgehog.  
I used to be VERY into the games, but MY Sonic died when SA came out.

6. The character I would shag anytime:
I would say NiGHTS, but as Nightmaren have no gender or human needs. . . that and I'm a goody goody about these things.

7. The character I'd want to be like:
NiGHTS.  I don't idolize NiGHTS (he has that nasty streak and only thinks of himself a lot of the time) but c'mon, flying and being purple and staying thin al lthe time! XD  Plus there's the sparkly startrail. . .
so yeah, NiGHTS or my alterego, Nightdragon (who I kind of am anyway)

8. The character I'd slap:
Can't think of any, though that lady from Most Haunted certainly needs a smack now and then (though she's not exactly a character)

9. A pairing that I love:
Claris and Elliot.  Yeah I know I'll get bricked for it, but nobody appreciates the kids!  I love them!

10. A pairing that I despise:
Any Nightmaren with anyone.  
They lack gender, and they're not human.  I really doubt that they have a sex drive.  They might try things for fun, being able to change their forms, but ... no.

I've really taken a like to plushie making.  
I can only accept Amazon wishlist purchases or checks as payment right now so I'm not being serious just yet,
But out of curiosity, would anyone be interested if I were to accept a commission or two for plushies?  

I'd only be making characters that aren't already available in plushie form so they'd be mainly fancharacters or obscure characters, most likely.

Well I'm here, you can thank Fennic for that.
